Ari Kaplan is a NYC-based makeup artist who travels throughout the Tri-state area. She is certified and experienced in all forms of airbrush makeup, including bridal and special effects. Her passion for beauty was sparked in childhood by her grandmother, a cosmetologist, who introduced her to the basics. Growing up, she learned how to take care of skin, shape eyebrows, do nail art, and apply classic makeup. She was the go-to person for all her friends’ beauty needs. By high school, she was doing prom, graduation, sweet sixteen, and other formal makeup for her friends and family.

Ari is a graduate of the NYU Gallatin School of Individualized Study, where she studied Philosophy of Consumer Behavior. In addition, she received training in special effects makeup from Robert Benevides, a makeup artist and professor in the NYU Tisch School of Arts. While maintaining a full course load, Ari dedicated all her spare time to her art, forming connections with photographers, directors, stylists, and other creatives.

Over the next eight years she gained valuable experience in various facets of the industry through her work at Make Up For Ever, Erno Laszlo Skincare Institute, and TEMPTU Inc. She is currently employed at Giorgio Armani Corp. With her attention to detail and dedication to the craft, Ari always exceeds her clients’ expectations. She is flexible and understands the importance of collaboration—the work is not complete until the client is satisfied. By connecting with artists from all over the globe, Ari has created lasting relationships that give depth and meaning to her work.
